Subaru believes that the middle-income group in urban areas is the main consumer group of SUVs such as foresters. Currently, the total number of sub-Subaru dealers in China is 230, mostly located in northern cities. By the end of 2015, Subaru will have a total of 280 dealerships in China, a 20% increase over the current number, with a focus on setting up outlets in the eastern and southern regions.
In June of this year, Subaru's sales in China increased by 3.7% year-on-year to 4,592 units, up 27.5% year-on-year to 30,360 units in the first half of the year. The 18.8% landslide that occurred in July was 3,600.
The brand plans to achieve annual sales of 100,000 vehicles in China in 2016, which is expected to increase by more than 50% compared to 2014.
