Time to enter 2015, from January 1 this year, the national III diesel car will not be sold, the diesel car market enters the true sense of the national IV. Regardless of the post-processing route, the use of high-pressure common rail systems is an important means of achieving national IV. This is well known, but it is not easy to fully answer the questions mentioned at the beginning of the article.
On December 29, 2014, as the leading enterprise in the domestic high-pressure common rail industry, Li Shaoan, deputy general manager of Liaoning Xinfeng Group Co., Ltd., reviewed the development history of the high-pressure common rail system and analyzed the current market conditions.
Two generations of high pressure common rail technology originated from ETH
“The high pressure common rail system is a new generation of diesel fuel injection system developed in the 1990s. Because of its obvious technical advantages, it quickly replaced the inline pump and the electronic control unit pump, the electronically controlled VE distribution pump, and the Cummins pressure accumulation. The traditional diesel-electric fuel-controlled fuel injection system, such as the injection system CAPS, has become the mainstream technical route for diesel fuel systems,†Li Shaoan said.
The high pressure common rail technology comes from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). In the 1960s, Robert Huber, a professor at the college, successfully developed a prototype of a diesel-electric control common rail system. In 1983, Marco Ganser received his Ph.D. in engineering under the "Electronically Controlled Accumulator Injection System for Passenger Car Diesel Engines: theoretical and experimental studies". This is the world's first research paper on high pressure common rail technology.
After completing the development of the first generation of common rail technology, ETH continued to conduct in-depth research and in 2001 released the second generation of high pressure common rail technology. The second generation common rail technology adopts the central accumulator principle on the injector, which avoids the high pressure fuel leakage caused by the pressure difference between the needle valve couplers and the uneven injection volume caused by the slender high pressure oil hole throttling. , 1 micron or so particles stuck in the injector caused by failure and other unfavorable factors, more suitable for Chinese fuel conditions. In addition, the second generation technology uses forced lubrication on the high pressure pump, making the initial design pressure of the second generation of high pressure common rail systems up to 1800 bar.
Europe, the United States and Japan actively develop high-pressure common rail products based on ETH's first generation of high-pressure common rail technology research results, Japan Denso Corporation Fujisawa and others in 1995 developed the ECU-U2 common rail system and used in Hino Rising Ranger heavy trucks J08C diesel engine. In 1990, Magneti Marelli of Centro Ricerche Fiat and Elasis of Italy also developed the high-pressure common rail technology used in cars, which was sold to Bosch in Germany for mass production. In 1997, Bosch's first generation of high-pressure common rail products were applied to the Fiat Alfa Romeo 156 sedan 2.4 JTD diesel engine and the Mercedes-Benz C 220 sedan CDI diesel engine, and quickly replaced the traditional fuel system such as the electronically controlled VE distribution pump. To become the mainstream of the world's diesel engines, it is known as one of the three breakthroughs in the 20th century internal combustion engine technology.
Since the highest pressure of the first generation of high pressure common rail products is 1350 bar, Bosch improved its maximum pressure to 1450 bar, and it was introduced to China in 2004 for the light and medium diesel engines, called Bosch second generation common rail products. "At present, Bosch promotes the upgraded version of the second-generation common rail product in the China IV stage, with a maximum pressure of 1600 bar, and introduces the CB18 and CB08 high-pressure pumps developed and produced by Wuxi Weifu Group to reduce the high-pressure common rail products by localization. Production costs. In addition, Bosch's common rail high-pressure pump CPN2 for heavy-duty diesel engines was acquired by ZEXEL Japan and introduced to China in 2004. Li Shaoan said.
In addition to Bosch, Delphi in the United States inherited the compact injector design structure announced by the Canadian Lucas CAV company at the SAE annual meeting in 1998, and launched a common rail product for light diesel engines; Siemens Germany first introduced the piezoelectric type in the world. Common rail injectors have a few applications in Europe and the United States, such as the 1.8-liter diesel engine that Ford produces in Brazil. As for Denso, in 1999, the maximum pressure of its second-generation common rail product ECD-U2P system was increased to 1600 bar. In 2003, Denso introduced HP3 and HP4 high-pressure pumps for medium and light diesel engines, and the maximum pressure was increased to 1800 bar. In addition, Cummins Inc. is also developing and manufacturing high-pressure common rail systems for heavy-duty diesel engines with similar Bosch structures.
The second generation of high-pressure common rail technology introduced by the new wind into the second generation of high-pressure common rail technology ETH has attracted the attention of the German Liebherr Group, and specially established CRT's process research and adaptive improvement for the second-generation high-pressure common rail technology for mass production. In 2005, the technology was sold to China and Japan.
In 2006, Liaoning Xinfeng Enterprise Group invested 5 million euros to purchase the high-pressure common rail technology license of the German Liebherr Group, laying a foundation for its technological advantages.
"Therefore, the new wind is developed in the world's second generation of high-pressure common rail technology, with strong technological advancement." Li Shaoan told the "Commercial Vehicle News" reporter: "The new wind with the advantages of the second generation of high-pressure common rail technology The high-pressure common rail products have won the favor of automobile manufacturers such as Great Wall, Yunnei, and Laiwu, and automobile manufacturers such as Futian, GAC Gonow, Zhongxing, Panther, and Kama. At the end of 2014, Futian, equipped with a new wind common rail system, Light trucks, micro-cards and pickup trucks of GAC, ZTE, Panther and Kama are listed on the market to meet the national IV emission standards that will be fully implemented in the country. Xinfeng Group has successfully stepped out in the development and industrialization of high-pressure common rail products. A road of introduction, digestion and re-innovation has formed a strong R&D team and product platform, with independent research and development skills such as 3D simulation analysis, hydraulic simulation, CAE design, test analysis, etc. On the standard high-pressure common rail products, Xinfeng is working with international companies and research institutes to develop high-pressure common rail products of 2200~2500bar. The ability to achieve an annual output of 2 million sets of high-pressure common rail systems and the appropriate research and development capabilities."
